After taking a deep calming breath she headed outside. After all, if she wasn’t he’d probably make his presence known…and if what he said was true, and she was dead, what else did she really have to fear? She lifted up her arm and winced at the bright light that hit her. It blinded her momentarily, causing her to pause with a quiet hiss, blinking her new, much more sensitive eyes. The lamia heard a sound as she waited and quickly turned, lifting up her jagged, sharp clawed hands as she snarled, ready to attack anything that approached her.
